He also worked at the New York State Department of Transportation for 20 years in both Andover and Friendship, retiring in 1998 from the position of foreman.Īlong with his wife, Hank is survived by two sons, John Patrick Mercier and Matthew T. While living in the New York City area, Hank worked as a telephone splicer. In 1972 they moved to the Andover area and Hank pursued his Associate’s degree from Alfred State College in animal husbandry.
